Cruisers Trail is open

Posted on: August 10, 2022

The Cruiser ATV trail is officially open!

The nine-year journey had its ups and downs but, in the end, we have a beautiful trail.

The trail begins on the south off County N, traversing Cruisers Rd, and a segment of trail through Oneida County Forest before connecting with the Woodboro Lakes Wildlife Area segment of the trail.  The trail ends at Oscar Jenne Rd on the north.  A map of the trail is available on the home page of our website, nokomisatvclub.org.

There is a parking lot at Oscar Jenne Rd and a lot on Cruisers Rd about 3 miles from County N.

There were so organizations / people involved in this project that made it a success:

Town of Woodboro – project sponsor
Oneida County Forestry – partner and overseer of the trails
MSA Professional Services – project engineering
Musson Brothers Construction
Wisconsin DNR – Direction and grants
Polaris -T.R.A.I.L.S grant
Wisconsin ATV/UTV Association – consulting / direction
Senator Mary Felzkowski – consulting

Finally, the club members and supporters for their ongoing support with raffles and fundraising activities.  We also had several club volunteers involved in the final preparation of the trail.

We are planning a grand opening event of the trail for October 8.  Included will be a guided ride through the scenic routes of the towns of Woodboro and Cassian.  There will be stops along the way at various business sponsors.  More information will be coming.

If you are riding in the WLWA area, be aware that a section of Oneida Lake Rd may still be closed for culvert repair.

Get out and enjoy the trail.

Thanks again to all of our supporters.
