The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is sponsoring a Wisconsin DNR certified ATV/UTV Safety course. The date, times, and location for the course are as follows:
Thursday July 24, 2020, through Friday July 25, 2020. Course times will run from 2:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M each day.
The course will be held at the Oneida County Law Enforcement Center, located at 2000 East Winnebago Street, Rhinelander, WI.
Age Requirement. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who is at least 12 years old for ATV (and at least 16 years old for UTV) must complete and ATV and UTV safety certification course in order to operate on public ATV/UTV trails and areas in Wisconsin.
Students are now required to obtain a DNR customer ID number for any recreational safety class they attend. Please contact the DNR at 1-888-936-7463 to obtain this number before the course begins.
Students must be 12 years old to enroll. There is no maximum age, and parents and adults are encouraged to enroll and participate in this course. Cost for each course is $10 per person.
